Our Story

As an occupational therapist, my goal is to improve the quality of life for my clients and enable them to do the things that are most important to them, such as basic day-to-day activities that many of us may take for granted.

Having access to equipment often makes the difference between independence and dependence, or safe and at risk.

I have witnessed clients living at risk without the equipment they need, as well as family members who have acquired equipment after a loved one has passed and want to find it a new home. There was a clear opportunity to connect these two groups and cultivate a network of support for the community.

What began as a concept in 2014 has slowly evolved through countless hours of discussion, research and connecting with other not-for-profits, and with many thanks to the commitment of like-minded, passionate volunteers who dedicate their time to help the community. Since AssistList went live on February 14, 2018, AssistList has continued to grow and improve, and we are proud to serve the Greater Vancouver community.
